I am sure by now you have heard the terms "pussy power or "vagina power" being thrown around in reference to women's sexual performances for the pleasure of men. Either that or you have heard them being used in reference to the vagina as a commodity which can be leveraged for material gain.
The society as is today has debased the vagina and reduced it to a basic lodge of sorts; one whose sole purposes revolve around sex and pushing out babies. It was not always this way and for us to understand these terms and put them into proper use, we have to understand where all these misconceptions and subsequent ideologies arose from.
Our modern day understanding of sex is flawed firstly because it is carnal based and separated from its spiritual form. As far as most human beings today are concerned, sex is a physical act performed for physical pleasure and multiplication of the species. It is in the way people talk about it, in the type of music and movies we consume, in pornography and other hypersexualized imaginations and manifestations of sex.
Most of these messages come from a very dark place within the patriarchy; one which pedestalizes imbalanced hypermasculine opinions, thoughts, fantasies and expectations of the vagina without considering that there is so much more underneath the surface. In turn the custodians of these same vaginas are reduced to mere sex receptors which have no sense of agency, power or control over that which they innately possess. The separation of sex and also the vagina from its spiritual form in favour of just the physical thus blinds its owners from the true Yoni Power that is highly spiritual in nature.
(It is important to note that both men and women have masculine and feminine energies inside of them. These energies are supposed to coexist in a delicate balance so before any man starts to feel attacked, the patriarchy here is not used to mean just 'men'. It is a system that was created by a few powerful people in cahoots with other dark forces. It is also a system that does not even benefit the common man in the long run. That is a story for another day however. Now that I have attempted to assuage your worries to that regard albeit in a brief manner, let us focus and carry on.)
In the ancient world of our forefathers and mothers, sex was based on more than just the above. It was viewed as a powerful form of spiritual communion uniting two cosmic souls into one. The word 'sex' itself is derived from the Latin word 'secare'. Secare means 'to divide' and this is in fact the opposite of communion. Sexuality is an English word which surfaced in 1389. This is during the historical era which marked a Western shift from sacred views to the pagan ones and it did not stop there. Being that we have come to 'adopt' so many Western values and customs over the centuries, it does not take rocket science to see where the deviations begun.
The Yoni for instance is a Sanskrit word which refers to the vagina and the whole womb area. It is a woman's sacred space and also the source of life for all things. In fact it is referred to as "the gateway of life". All communities in the ancient days shared a common appreciation and respect for Mother Earth, women and their Yonis. Every culture has their own name and interpretation of this same Yoni and in some communities it was even taboo to invoke a woman's private parts nonchalantly just for the sake of it. That is why women were viewed as goddesses; because our ancestors understood these things clearly.
All the religions and ideologies which trivialize the importance of the Divine Feminine have one thing in common: they were created to cause chaos by destroying the balance that originally existed between the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine. They did their best erase that feminine presence and power and make it look like it was too evil to exist. Instead they replaced the original truths with ambiguous yet absolute masculine entities and spaces in which the feminine exists only to serve subserviently.
Women thus internalized hating themselves as well as accepting that they were beneath everyone and everything. Their redemption was based upon a lifetime of gaining favour from mortal men and also immortal men even if it meant denying a part of themselves, suffering constantly and also hating their fellow women in the process of trying to gain favour. Little did they know that they were complete and beautiful all along.
You can see it in most of the books they call holy and now I hope that patriarchy reference I was saying is starting to make more sense; at least from the religious standpoint. The first step in the long term plan to destroy humanity started with separating that which was One and Whole for the purposes of dividing, ruling, conquering and siphoning that collective energy to cause even more chaos.
For example, I am sure sometimes you get confused when you are told that God is a man and women are evil deceivers on one hand. Then on the other hand you are also told that women are goddesses and queens who deserve respect and honour because they carry life. Is it starting to make a bit more sense? Initially we existed in perfect, complimentary, Egalitatrian harmony but today we exist in a state of chaos and imbalance because 'culture' or 'the holy book' 'said' that one group should be 'above' the other.
You can see all the power struggles, the gender wars, the toxicity, the violence, the killings, the confusion and the ultimate destruction of the planet happening. All this is happening because of the imbalances that exist and now that the Divine Feminine is awakening, the masculine energies are somewhat lost and confused. Mother Nature is bleeding from the center because one part of her is being used to subjugate the other when both should be existing in a state of harmony. There is a lot that we must unlearn and then relearn as a race because things were never supposed to be this way.
That was never our culture as human beings and even as Africans or rather Alkebulanians for that matter. There is nowhere in our roots and culture where it was acceptable for the custodians of the vagina to be relegated into mere spectators and watchmen of that which was divinely theirs. There is nowhere in our culture where it was acceptable that the male gaze and male preferences dictate how pleasant or how unpleasant a vagina should or can be based on carnal rather than spiritual knowledge. The vagina was never meant to be owned like a commodity or its owner tethered like an animal in the name of culture. That is not our culture.
There is nowhere in our culture where it was okay to denigrate the vagina and impose shallow values and demands upon it for the sole purpose of hedonism and even vile. That is a dark and alien culture that was imposed upon us and our forefathers as well as our foremothers before us eons and eons ago. Women loved themselves as they were also loved and respected. The destruction of our belief systems and societal structures did not begin yesterday. The world is old and a lot has been going on. We will get into the nittygritty a step at a time.
Today however, my main intention was to highlight how the desecration of the vagina and its subsequent separation from its spiritual form has affected how women have always viewed their own bodies as well as their souls i.e from a lens that was never their own just because 'society said so'.
This spiritual downgrade is also responsible for how men are socialized to view women from the get-go. It is an internalized mindset that runs deep and it comes from a place of natural entitlement such that even these men themselves cannot really explain why they feel this way about women's bodies and even voices. Most of them will tell you they found things that way and for the most part it is true. Today we are all about the Yoni however.
Pussy power or rather Yoni Power involves more than sexual prowess or sexual leverage. Yoni Power is divine power that connects us to the portals of the universe being that it exists in all forms of life. Yoni power is healing power and once we start to understand that, we will realize that men do not only come to women so that they can enjoy carnal pleasure. It is much deeper than just sex thus what draws them to women cannot be summarized into just ejaculation. There is a mystical power that can only be found in a healed and properly activated Yoni; a Yoni that is in sync with the sacral chakra and the Divine Feminine.
So how can we heal the broken Yoni so that we can be able to arise and maybe also heal those that commune with us? Let us talk in the next chapter. Meanwhile you can take comfort in the fact that your vagina is more than just a holiday inn for the men you give yourselves to. Your vagina is your Oracle as well as your shrine and it has a higher purpose just like you; bearing in mind that Yoni Power is everywhere.

PS: Remind me to tell you about the uterus and the Golden Ratio next time; that and the reason why imbalances in the sacral chakra can be linked to a number of reproductive health issues.
